Kerry’s latest revelation…

Life Begins at Conception!

Written by JB Williams

©2004-07-06

Increasing pressure from the Vatican, fellow Christians, pro-lifers across this country, his wife, even his own conscience couldn’t persuade Senator John Kerry to respect human life.

But once DNC campaign consultants became concerned that a mostly religious electorate might not elect a man whose policies clearly appose all moral standards, in true Kerry form, the man had a revelation…

I believe that life begins at conception” Kerry is quoted as saying for the first time, July 4th during his three day bus tour through the heartland. (Again, pander-zilla covers the bases for the local crowd).

But he goes on to say “''I oppose abortion, personally. I don't like abortion. I believe life does begin at conception. But I can't take my Catholic belief, my article of faith, and legislate it on a Protestant or a Jew or an atheist . . . who doesn't share it. We have separation of church and state in the United States of America." In other words, he feels no sense of personal responsibility to live his reported convictions.

First, Catholics, Protestants and Jews all agree on when life begins and the issue of abortion (theologically). The line Kerry is attempting to walk is the line between the “practicing” and the “non-practicing”, or atheists.

Second, the separation of church and state he hides behind is nothing more than a figment of liberal/socialist imagination. The Constitution doesn’t say that, and it never has. For the record, abortion is not a constitutionally protected Right either, though some twist the 4th Amendment concerning Illegal Search and Seizure to accommodate.

Third, the Right to Life “is” protected in the Constitution, just ahead of Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, and fourth, it’s not just a religious issue, but the single largest human Rights issue in America.

There are of course a few problems with walking this razor thin line, hypocrisy, and a lack of personal backbone just to name a couple.

But the biggest problem is we still don’t know who the real John Kerry is. The DNC is so busy polling and adjusting, reinventing Kerry just as they did Gore in 2000, that John Kerry appears only as a man who believes in nothing besides whatever he needs to believe, in order to win.

The old saying applies here, “if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything”. What John Kerry believes in depends on which day you ask, and who is in the room at the time.

The DNC keeps saying that the people just don’t know Kerry yet. How is that possible with a man who has been on the public scene for more than 30 years, and one of the most recognizable US Senators for more than 20?

The truth is the people do know Kerry, apparently better than Kerry knows himself.

What one believes in only matters to the degree that one is willing to live those beliefs, particularly if one wants a leadership role in the most powerful nation on earth. Leaders must be men and women of conviction, they must back up their words with deeds, or their words are meaningless.

I wish Kerry’s revelation were real. Unfortunately, he immediately released himself from responsibility for that stated belief, which makes the statement of belief hollow, just like the candidate himself.

Which is worse, believing in abortion because you believe life begins at birth, or knowing that life begins at conception, but being unwilling to protect it because it might cost you votes?

“Taking Back America

The Truth!

JB Williams

©2004-07-04

When you hear the phrase “take back America”, it’s usually coming from a politician who is attempting to use the ploy to garner votes for their political Party. When I say it, I’m an average American citizen, and I’m talking about the American people taking back control of their country from the political Parties themselves!

Now to be honest, I’m not convinced many in America really want to take control of their country back from the Parties. If they did, we wouldn’t have a situation where half of the voting population doesn’t vote at all. After all, “the people’s control” rest in their vote.

This “voting block” (or non-voting block as the case may be), represents an interesting thought pattern. “I don’t vote because I am powerless”. Huh? No, you are “powerless” because you don’t vote! These folks have written their own self fulfilling prophecy, and they are not only responsible for causing their own sense of helplessness, but everyone else’s as well.

The other “voting blocks” the (D)’s and (R)’s, separate the balance of the voting public almost right down the middle, which also creates a few interesting results. Most importantly, it gives too much power to the two political parties’, leaving many in America feeling unrepresented.

Intellectually, the American people understand what I am about to say. But it has been some time since they applied these principles to daily life.

It has become fashionable to blame politicians for being politicians, in other words, escape personal responsibility. To no surprise, politicians live up to their title almost every time. Most of us fail to realize that in America, we only get what we deserve. We are in control, even a non-vote is a vote, just not a very smart one.

Some believe that our system needs to be re-written. But the fact is our current system is not working well only because the American people are not properly utilizing the system that was specifically designed to keep them in control.

Many have recently asked whether or not Iraq is ready to self-govern? It appears the same question should be asked of American’s, since half of them have not participated in self governance for some years now.

Self-governance is an awesome blessing, but it carries with it an awesome responsibility. First and foremost, that responsibility is to participate in the process at any cost. As we have seen, when the people won’t govern themselves, politicians will happily fill the void.

In order to effectively self-govern, “take back America”, the American people must face a few facts, and respond accordingly, employing ten simple rules of self-governance in America circa 2004.

Rule # 1Forget Party loyalty. Party loyalty is designed to eliminate individual thought. It’s designed to divert attention from individual issues, as well as the strengths or weaknesses of the individual candidate. It’s designed to provide power to the Party, not the people. Rule # 2Be knowledgeable about the issues, the available candidates, and your options. Like running any other enterprise, running America is about making choices. It’s about prioritizing issues, understanding how candidates really impact those issues, and making choices on this basis. Fortunately, we live in the information age, so doing your own homework is easier than it use to be.

Rule # 3Always cross reference what politicians “say” with what they “do”. America is the country that feeds the world, so what we “do” matters to everyone. What candidates do is much more telling than what they say. We have trained them to pander to our whims, all of them, so you can pretty much ignore everything they say. At a minimum, make sure their historical actions match their new found agenda. Just like all other people, they seldom change their habits regardless of their promises. Vote for candidates with a history of doing what they say, it matters!

Rule # 4Never vote for perfect candidates, they don’t exist. Perfect people don’t exist, and if they did, they wouldn’t be politicians. Enough said?

Rule # 5 - Your candidate does not think like you. They don’t live like you, and they don’t play by the same rules as you, in most cases, they never have. This rule applies equally to both parties.

Rule # 6Don’t worry about “special interest” influence in Washington. First, if you do a little research, you will quickly find that “special interest” groups buy favor with both parties so that it doesn’t matter to them which one is in power. More importantly, they can out-spend us all they want, but they can never out-vote us, if all of us vote.

Rule # 7Realize this ship, “America” does not turn on a dime. At best, each election provides an opportunity to move slightly in one of only two directions, forward towards more freedom, liberty and self reliance, or backwards towards increasing government control over our lives. Many have died to pay for what we have, so never allow America to move backwards. Focus on the BIG issues.

Rule # 8Never allow yourself to become bogged down in rhetoric over divisive partisan hate mongering. You know what I mean…and who I mean.

Rule # 9Read the US Constitution for yourself, and become a defender of real American values, rather than those invisible imaginary values which go unmentioned in the Constitution.

Rule # 10Vote! And vote your conscience! Not on the basis of overwhelming rhetoric, but reality. Not on the basis of Party affiliation, but on the basis of individual conviction to ideals, both yours and the available candidates. Realize that you will have only four real options in any election.

Option # 1 – Vote to promote American freedom, individual liberty, and national sovereignty on the basis of who best represents those ideals in their actions. This choice is usually obvious.

Option # 2 – Vote for the candidate who panders best to your personal needs. This choice is usually equally obvious, and opposite option # 1.

Option # 3 – Vote for a candidate who can only help one of the other two candidates due to their narrow ideological platform. It’s very obvious which one’s these are.

Option # 4 – My least personal favorite, don’t vote at all, which in itself is a vote to allow politicians to continue exercising their power over you.

My goal in 2004 is to promote the highest voter turn out in 50 years. Imagine what control we can exercise with a 90% voter turnout. Imagine the message that might send to all politicians.

The political Parties work diligently to divide the electorate into nice, neat, predictable voting blocks, easier to pander to. Imagine the results of the American people putting a stop to that practice by ignoring their efforts, reminding them who actually runs America

Be a part of the real solution, the real “taking back of America”, by the people, for the people. The Parties only have the power we allow them to have. They have had too much for too long, and it is costing America its rightful future.

Vote!

Imminent Threat

Written by JB Williams

©2004-06-30

America is in “imminent threat” of losing a war that will ultimately cost our freedom, our individual liberty, our status as the worlds remaining superpower, our economic strength and in the end, our entire American way of life.

Contrary to public awareness misguided by bad media interpretations, America is not fighting just one war, but no less than three. The media has focused all its energy on the war against Islamic terrorism and they have done a poor job of reporting that. In their minds, the war on terror is limited to a war against one man, Osama Bin Laden, intentionally ignoring the fact that this war involves many Osama Bin Laden’s, many Islamic terrorist networks, operating in many countries including our own, and that it is being fought on many fronts by a multitude of methods.

To be certain, this war presents a clear and present danger to America every day. But there are two other wars in progress as well, two wars that present a more “imminent threat” to America, and they are getting no attention at all. Problem is, we can not win a war that nobody knows we are fighting.

In the misquoted words of George W. Bush, Islamic terrorists have presented a “gathering” threat for some 20 years now, only recently achieving global reach capabilities which added a new element of risk to the threats posed by outlaw regimes like the one that existed in Iraq not long ago.

But the other two wars present a more “imminent threat” to our American way of life, a more immediate and certain danger.

The second war is being waged in the United Nations, where France, Germany and Russia have grown tired of licking their wounds, tired of being second class citizens to America on the world stage and intent on creating a second world superpower via the European Union with help from the United Nations. Unable to compete with America alone, they are attempting to unite through the EU in order to collectively draw enough strength to put America in its place. This is not in America’s best interests.

The third war is being waged in America’s halls of congress, on our streets, in our courtrooms and classrooms, and in our electronic media. This war is a war of Americanism verses Socialism. Our country has been systematically divided into “voting blocks”, one group pitted against the other, Christians against non-Christians, heterosexuals against homosexuals, whites against blacks, rich against poor, individualists against collectivists.

The war against terrorists will be long, treacherous, and costly, but we will win it if we can unite behind that cause. Problem is, we are having trouble uniting behind any cause today, because we have been divided into political groups, and all things are now political including the war on terror.

The second war against “one world thinking” can be won as well, if America is united in protection of American sovereignty. Problem here is, many in America have been brainwashed to trust the EU or the UN more than the US these days. So many see no reason to preserve national sovereignty, many don’t even know the implications of not preserving our Rights as an independent nation, in fact many now see American sovereignty as a bad thing.

The third war is the one that presents the “most imminent” threat to American ideals and values. Without winning this war, the others will be lost, if not today, then tomorrow. A country divided can not stand and America has never been more divided than it is today.

This is the war we need to be worried about; this is the war that must unite Americans for the sake of America’s future. Politicians concerned only with their personal ambition for power can no longer be allowed to divide this country in order to gain that power. Hate mongers like George Soros or Michael Moore can no longer be rewarded for peddling hatred aimed at dividing the electorate even further. The news media must be held accountable for what they are reporting and how they are reporting it.

When the 911 Commission reported that they found direct linkage between the Hussein regime and Al Qaeda, but no evidence of cooperation between the two in the events of 911 specifically, liberal newsrooms all over the country rushed to press with headlines mis-stating the findings as “NO LINK AT ALL”. Why? Though most of them later retracted the headlines, the damage was already done, to the American peoples understanding of the facts, and to our soldiers in the field who receive direct consequences for such reports from our enemies who are emboldened by such news.

The American people have a Right to know the facts, the real facts, the unfettered facts as they exist, not as they are manipulated for political purposes. The news media has an obligation to report news, not invent it or shape it to suit their personal political leanings.

Political correctness will be the death of us all. If we have captured enemy combatant’s intent on doing America harm, of course we want to know what they know of plans for future attacks, and any humane method of getting that information is both reasonable and necessary in the protection of our people. Compare the images from Abu Graib Prison with the images of our enemies beheading their captives, or the images from 9/11 and tell me who you think the animals are?

For the record, enemy combatants are not entitled to the same liberal protections under our civil laws as average American citizens. Imagine an OJ Simpson styled trial of the people involved in taking down the trade towers, or hitting the Pentagon, or driving innocent unsuspecting civilians into that Pennsylvania field. This is not how you fight a war where the stakes are so high.

The American people need to know the truth about all of these things, or they will make decisions regarding their future on the basis of bad information. This is the war, the third war, which must be won. It won’t be won by politicians because they have created this war in order to win their own battle for personal power.

The news media won’t win this war, they prefer you not even know it exists. They prefer you believe they have honorable intentions and that they do honorable work, but they don’t always. People like Michael Moore or George Soros are fighting from the other side of this war, and they aim to promote war itself among the American people. Their goal is to further divide America, to bring America down to the level of third world countries because they too hate American world power. Read Soros’ book which discusses bursting “The Bubble of American Supremacy” if you want to know what this war is really all about, and why he is spending his fortune to buy the Whitehouse for John Kerry.

Nobody can win this war but the American people themselves. No war is more important to win. The real America is worth preserving, worth defending, worth fighting for. People who promote the socialist anti-American agenda are worth defeating, worthy of being called our enemies, because they present a larger threat to our way of life than all the worlds terrorists combined.

The American people must reclaim their land, their government, their heritage, principles and ideals. Win this war, and we can win all others. Lose this war, and no others will even be worth winning.

For The Record, Liars Tell Lies…

Written by JB Williams

©2004-06-23

I’d like to have a dime for every time I’ve heard the word “liar” in reference to President Bush or members of his administration. It would be a record windfall tantamount to that of marrying the ketchup queen.

But John Kerry, many loyal minions of the DNC, the main stream press, and a select group of not so distinguished foreign leaders have made what could be a fatal mistake in their attempt to label the current administration a “pack of liars”. They don’t have any evidence of a Bush lie… though they do have a long history of telling a few whoppers themselves.

First they accused Bush himself of “lying” about an “imminent threat” posed by Iraq, but he never said “imminent threat”, he said “gathering threat” which has quite a different meaning.

Then they said he “lied” about WMD in Iraq. But Bush never said he had first hand knowledge of stockpiles of WMD, only that the free worlds best intelligence gave cause for concern, and that it did.

Then they said Bush “lied” by telling the American people we needed to remove Hussein from power due to WMD, when he actually gave more than a dozen reasons why we were going to remove him from power. His accusers simply chose to hear one, WMD.

They said Bush “went it alone”, but in fact, Bush took more than 30 nations with him on the ground, a total of more than 60 contributing countries, and gained congressional approval before “going it alone”. Who is doing the “lying” here?

They say Bush and his people are “lying” about Hussein and Al Qaeda working together on 9/11, but Bush never said the two worked together on 9/11, only that there were meetings and connections between the two evil organizations that raise concern for a “gathering threat”, all of which is true.

These reckless accusers seem to have overlooked the fact that before you accuse someone of telling a “lie” based on a certain quote, you better get the quote right. It would appear that the left simply engages in a bit of selective hearing, missing what was actually said, or at least rephrasing what was said for us idiots who can’t understand big people talk.

When cornered with the actual quotes, accusers twist to the left and claim that they have some clairvoyant intuition, and insight into the secret hidden implication of the quote, working from what they think Bush meant, though he actually said something all together different.

This behavior should come as no surprise, these are the same folks that read the First Amendment of our Constitution and see words that don’t exist, “separation of church and state”, or the Fourth Amendment, and see Abortion Rights buried between the lines of an amendment written entirely on the topic of “illegal search and seizure”.

These are people who at best have an overactive imagination, and at worst, wouldn’t recognize truth if you beat them over the head with it. These are the people who want to convince you and me that the Bush administration is the largest collection of professional liars known to mankind, but the evidence is quite the contrary.

These people hope we will swallow the story that Iraq has no connection at all to the war against terrorism, yet the headlines are filled with terrorist events throughout Iraq and the Middle East daily. The images we see of “Iraqi” uprisings are most often, “terrorist” attacks against the Iraqi people themselves. They expect us to believe that we caused the terrorist activities in Iraq, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Spain, but even the most brain-dead have trouble buying this lie.

These people want us to believe that Iraq is a Vietnam styled quagmire, but the facts on the ground are very different. We count every war casualty daily in the headlines, but there is no mention of the thousands of lives being saved by those sacrifices, as though these sacrifices are made without purpose.

We get up to the minute reports every day of each minor setback in our efforts in the war against terror, but there are no headlines about the many heroic advances our brave men and women make every day as well.

Make no mistake, we find ourselves surrounded by around the clock professional liars these days, but it isn’t those folks on Pennsylvania Avenue. It’s those who play the American people for fools, those who believe it is government’s job to think for you, since you are too ignorant to think for yourself. Those rich liberal elitists in the media and the DNC who want to be your keeper since you are incapable of keeping yourself. It is none other than those who seek to regain power by any means necessary.

You are being spoon fed a lie alright, a steady diet of them in fact. But they are not coming from any Right Wing Conspiracy, or the Bush administration.

The truth is obvious this time, for any who care about truth. There are those who will continue to support the lies for personal reasons, and there are those who will buy the lies because they hope John Kerry can and will keep his promises to be their keeper.

Here’s a whopper for you though, if John Kerry feels so strong about his campaign platform, where are his initiatives in these area’s of great concern during his 20 year Senate career? Where are the bills he passed, or authored, or introduced over the last 20 years? In short, since he could not accomplish any of these issues of major concern during his 20 years as one of our most powerful Senators, what can he do in the next four years as President, someone with little to no influence over legislative matters at all?

Somebody is “lying” sure enough. Sorry if you can’t figure out who.

9/11 Details, Let the Headlines War Begin…

Written by JB Williams
©2004-06-18

Though the 9/11 Commission Report is not due out until late next month, the eve of the Democratic Convention to be exact, (a coincidence I’m sure) the headline wars have already begun concerning what that report allegedly say’s.

Since many in America now make their political decisions based solely on daily headlines, political operatives’ campaign by making sure the headlines support their political agenda. Why not, you can watch opinion polls shift as a direct result of those headlines, and since a free press is not required to tell the truth, and partisans rarely care about truth anyway, the strategy makes perfect sense.

Its simple, control the headlines and you control public opinion.

It’s also not surprising that Commission members are enjoying their moment in the spot light at every opportunity, nor that you can guess their party affiliation on the basis of how they interpret and report commission findings.

In America, The San Francisco Chronicle calls it “The Iraq Myth”, the LA Times reports “No Credible Evidence of ties between Hussein and Al Qaeda”, and “911 Report Spurs Kerry Attack”.

Around the globe, French headlines read “911 Panel Denies Iraq-Al Qaeda Link”, headlines in Australia read “NO LINK Between 9/11 and Iraq, and in the UK, they read “Bush Disputes 9/11 Findings”.

But the big headline you need to see is; None of these headlines are true!

Those of us who read beyond the headlines know that in almost every case, the article goes on to say that the commission found substantial evidence connecting the Hussein Regime to Al Qaeda operatives’ pre and post-911. Those of us who get our information direct from the source rather than filtered by an agenda driven media know that this entire slant on the commission report is much to do about nothing. It has no real bearing on the war on terror, other than the use of the war for political purposes.

What the commission report is going to say is this. Bin Laden and Al Qaeda did not mastermind 9/11. It wasn’t their idea or their plan, though they did join other terrorists in funding and executing the plan. It will say that the operation involved terrorists from several organizations and several countries, that the plan started coming together in Germany, and that our borders are very easy to cross.

It will say that the planning began in the early to mid 90’s and that congress was the original primary target due to their continued support of Israel. That the Clinton administration missed several opportunities to capture the guy’s responsible as the plan was coming together, and that our intelligence was weak at best throughout the entire 10 year period leading up to 9/11.

It will say that the Bush administration reacted swiftly and decisively and that nobody could have stopped the event because we simply were not on a footing to do so at the time. It will say that we have placed ourselves on a much better footing since, but that more needs to be done.

It will say that we need to be concerned about what is going on in Mosques across this country and around the world. It will say that political correctness and our obsession with treating evil people like misdemeanor criminals is a large part of our problem in dealing with this threat.

It will confirm that we are in deed, in a world wide war against multiple terrorist organizations on many fronts. That focusing all of our attention on Bin Laden alone would have been a huge mistake. That we remain vulnerable to attack today, that a prevention success rate of 99% will not be good enough, and that a 100% success rate is not possible.

Those who are more interested in detailed facts than partisan fiction, can get a sneak peek at some of the details that will emerge in the commission report by viewing the report on my web-site, Details of 911 Plot . It is a better read than most spy novels and it demonstrates that reality is often more entertaining than fiction. It could be one of the most important documents you read this year.

Those who are happy to simply grab the headline that best suits their agenda may want to read it also, just to find out exactly how wrong they have been on the entire topic.

The real crime is the main stream media’s intentional misreporting of the facts, the Commissions partisan treatment of their findings, and political operatives’ willingness to exploit even public safety and the war on terrorism for political gain.

The American people need to know the unfettered facts and they are not getting them. Junk in, junk out, bad information will lead to bad decisions almost every time, and this is no game, this is life and death.

How many times do we have to learn that the American people only get what they demand, or what they deserve when they don’t demand better? Forget party politics for five minutes, read past the biased headlines and think for your self for a change. It’s the future of American civilization at stake this time and we are fighting a formidable foe.

Neither Politicians nor talking heads will drop the partisanship until the American people drop it first!

Even Now, Reagan Leads…

Written by JB Williams

©2004-06-13

The week long farewell to President Ronald Wilson Reagan was fitting for one of America’s, no, one of the worlds most popular leaders. It demonstrated not only the massive popularity of the man, but the class and elegance of a different time in American politics as well.

To be sure, politics in America has always been a spirited debate of ideas, but it wasn’t always the gutter tabloid style of back stabbing that permeates all things political today. Disagreements have always existed over what is best for America. But not long ago, those disagreements where laid to rest in time for happy hour and men from all ideologies could share a laugh at the end of the day.

The passing of one of the most gentle giants in American politics serves to remind us all of a better day, when ideas were bigger than the people who promoted them, and when America’s purpose was bigger than that of any special interest group. It was a time when America united behind the common cause of a better America, instead of being torn by the fragmented interests that defines American politics now. A time when partisanship was a part of the equation, but not the entire equation.

Clearly, even those who did not share Reagan’s vision for America came to love the man for his strength of conviction, his firm backbone, and his gentle nature, even as he stayed his course at odds with popular opinion.

It also reminds us that leaders do lead, even when it isn’t popular. Many thought Reagan was inviting disaster with his talk of “evil empires”, only to later learn that even the “evil empire” understood exactly what he meant. It reminds us that being a “cowboy” is a good thing, and that true leaders are often misunderstood, at least until the rest of us can catch up.

It reminds us that while we tend to over focus on the minor inconveniences of daily life, true leaders often miss the little things, focused more on grand visions most of us never even think about. This is what leaders should do, even when we don’t understand.

Even now, as he departs all of us who loved and respected him, his memory calls each of us to look beyond ourselves, beyond the moment, and beyond partisanship. His memory turns a mirror to America, calling attention to how petty and self absorbed we have become. Reminding us that even in our darkest hours, the greatest leaders envision brighter days ahead, and that leadership is not for the fearful or faint hearted.

Even now, Ronald Reagan leads a nation divided by personal ambition, fear and hate, to fix our sights on bigger things and brighter days ahead. We are reminded that true leadership inspires through hope and opportunity, not through fear mongering and hatred.

This is the mark of a great leader, one whose unassuming example inspires us all to be better people. I hope people from both sides of the aisle and all ideologies, can hear and respond to his call. Not to lay down our different ideas, but to respect all those different ideas aimed at making a better America. Not to limit the political discussion, but to elevate it to a respectable level.

Ronald Reagan was a man of vision, though not all shared his vision. He was a man of strength, though many called it arrogance at the time. He was a man of conviction, though some called him stubborn and uncompromising. He was called a “cowboy”, and he embodied all that is good about being a cowboy. Some said he knew nothing about foreign policy, yet his policies are written into history as some of the most brilliant, and the results of his policies are known and respected around the globe.

Even now, he leads. America will hopefully have the good sense to follow his lead once more.  This is Ronald Reagan’s real legacy, leadership at its best. He wouldn’t say it, he was too humble, but most of us know it, and we thank him for it. May he rest forever in the loving arms of his maker.

Tenet Shocks Liberals…

Not with what he did, but what he said!

Written by JB Williams

©2004-06-03

The 9/11 commission report due out next month seems to have already produced its first casualty.

Rumblings of what might appear in that report concerning the quality of pre and post 9/11 Intelligence on the matter of terrorist threats, and in particular, WMD in Iraq, may be the reason behind CIA Director Tenet’s unexpected resignation.

Democrat campaign sharks have been sniffing for blood in the water for months now, (attempting to make every issue a campaign issue), hoping to cash in at the election booth by focusing blame for everything from 9/11 to the firing of Howard Stern on Bush.

But it turns out that the first brave soul to fall on his sword is none other than Clinton appointee, Director Tenet. Even more disturbing for the DNC and Kerry lovers everywhere, is what Tenet had to say in his departing speech to fellow members of the CIA.

“I want to say a word of special thanks to President Bush. On entering office he immediately recognized the importance of rebuilding our intelligence capabilities. He spends time with us almost every day. He has shown great care for our officers. He is a great champion for the men and women of U.S. Intelligence and a constant source of support. It has been an honor for me to serve as his Director of Central Intelligence”, Director Tenet said in his announcement at CIA headquarters.

This from a Clinton appointee? What the hell is going on here? He added American intelligence has, after the drought of the post-Cold War years, begun to receive the investments - in people and dollars and attention - that we need to meet the security challenges of a new century and a new world.”

As one would expect, Democrats everywhere are searching high and low for the “right wing conspiracy” behind Tenet’s resignation. But what really has them reeling is the Clinton Director placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of the guilty. Liberals in the Clinton administration that suffocated the Intelligence community and the military in the “post-cold-war” era when liberals thought neither were needed any longer.

Finally, one individual from the Clinton administration willing to tell the truth. One voice of reason in a sea of irresponsible liberal drivel and finger pointing.

But it ain’t over yet, not by a long shot. In a mad scramble for Kerry campaign damage control, bug-eyed liberal front-woman Nancy Pelosi scampered to the nearest microphone to blurt out the official DNC response to Tenet’s announcement, “George Tenet is a valued public servant who has made many significant contributions to the work of the intelligence community, but apparently he believes it is time for a change in leadership”, hint…hint…hint, “leadership, get it? (Always campaigning)

The dunce went on to say “There certainly were intelligence failures in the Iraq operation, particularly in the months preceding the invasion. There have been many other failures as well; I do not believe his resignation should be the only response to those failures” hint…hint…hint, ELECT JOHN KERRY!

Then mental midget John Kerry says “George Tenet's resignation offers President Bush a chance to lead”, however, according to Tenet, Bush’s leadership is not the problem but rather the solution. A message that has apparently fallen on deaf ear’s in the Democratic community, again!

Liberals continue to act as though Intelligence work is a game of absolutes, but the fact is, it is often little more than our best guess. It is the dangerous work of attempting to know that which our enemies would kill to conceal.

I’m not sure that Tenet’s resignation is in America’s best interest. The fact that Al Gore, (America’s favorite loser) demanded his resignation, is enough for me to assume the guy is worth keeping. Stay tuned for more liberal drivel, finger pointing, and “right wing conspiracies” to follow…

Open letter from a soldier in Iraq

Hello Everyone, I am taking time to ask you all for your help.

First off, I'd like to say that this is not a political message. I'm not concerned about domestic politics right now. We have much bigger things to deal with, and we need your help.

It seems that despite the tremendous and heroic efforts of the men and women serving here in Iraq to bring much needed peace and stability to this region, we are losing the war of perception with the media and American people. Our enemy has learned that the key to defeating the mighty American military is by swaying public opinion at home and abroad. We are a people that cherish the democratic system of government and therefore hold the will of the people in the highest regard. We love to criticize ourselves almost to an endless degree, because we care what others think. Our enemies see this as a weakness and are trying to exploit it.

When we ask ourselves questions like, "Why do they hate us?" or "What did we do wrong?" we are playing into our enemies' hands. Our natural tendency to question ourselves is being used against us to undermine our effort to do good in the world. How far would we have gotten if after the surprise attacks on December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor, we would have asked, "Why do the Japanese hate us so much?" or "How can we change ourselves so that they won't do that again?" Here in Iraq the enemy is trying very hard to portray our efforts as failing and fruitless. They kill innocents and desecrate their bodies in hopes that the people back home will lose the will to fight for liberty. They are betting on our perceived weakness as a thoughtful, considerate people. Unfortunately our media only serves to further their cause.

In an industry that feeds on ratings and bad news, a failure in Iraq would be a goldmine. When our so-called "trusted" American media takes a quote from an Iraqi doctor as the gospel truth over that of the men and women that are daily fighting to protect the right to freedom of press, you know something is wrong. That doctor claimed that out of 600 Iraqis, that were casualties of the fighting, the vast majority of them were women, children and the elderly. This is totally absurd. In the history of man, no one has spent more time and effort, often to the detriment of our own mission, to be more discriminate in our targeting of the enemy than the American military. The Marines and Soldiers serving in Iraq have gone through extensive training in order to limit the amount of innocent casualties and collateral damage.

Yet, despite all of this, our media consistently sides with those who openly lie and directly challenge the honor of our brave heroes fighting for liberty and peace. What we have to remember is that peace is not defined as an absence of war. It is the presence of liberty, stability, and prosperity. In the face of the horrendous tyranny of the former Iraqi regime, the only way true peace was able to come to this region was through force. That is what the American Revolution was all about. Have we forgotten? Freedom is not free and "peace" without principle is not peace. The peace that so-called "peace advocates" support can only be brought to Iraq through the military. And we are doing it, if only the world will let us! If the American people believe we are failing, even if we are not, then we will ultimately fail.

That is why I am asking for your support. Become a voice of truth in your community. Wherever you are fight the lies of the enemy. Don't buy into the pessimism and apathy that says, "It's hopeless," "They hate us too much," "That part of the world is just too messed up," "It's our fault anyway," "We're to blame," and so forth. Whether you're in middle school, working at a 9-5 job, retired, or a stay-at-home mom you can make a huge difference! There is nothing more powerful than the truth. So, when you watch the news and see doomsday predictions and spiteful opinions on our efforts over here, you can refute them by knowing that we are doing a tremendous amount of good. Spread the word. No one is poised to make such an amazing contribution to the everyday lives of Iraqis and the rest of the Arab world than the American Armed Forces. By making this a place where liberty can finally grow, we are making the whole world safer. Your efforts at home are directly tied to our success. You are the soldiers at home fighting the war of perception. So I'm asking you as a fellow fighting man: Do your duty. Stop the attempts of the enemy wherever you are. You are a mighty force for good, because truth is on your side. Together we will win this fight and ensure a better world for the future.

God Bless
